Introduction to the course

Images are all around us, we understand and make sense of the world mostly through images. Visual communication is the practice of using visual elements to communicate information or ideas. In this module we will go over the elements of an image, the basic things to consider when creating an image and how to use images to communicate with our audiences. ​

When working towards social change, having a strong visual identity can help:​

• Increase awareness and build recognition​
• Enhance your ability to communicate and tell stories compellingly​
• Be more effective and appealing on social media​
