Throughout this module, we will focus on the process of creating safe digital spaces for our users. The first topic will focus on understanding what digital spaces are, and the potential risks that they entail. In the second topic, you will learn how moderation can be a useful tool to reduce these risks.

At the end of this module, you will be able to:

• Explain your own definition of a safe digital space
• Develop community guidelines to outline the expected behaviors of users within your digital community
• Formulate moderation guidelines that advise your moderator on how to deal with users’ comments and behavior
