Welcome to the Build Your Digital Community training!

About This Training

A digital community is a group of people who come together online for a defined reason, who engage with content shared in the community and for whom engagement is focused on a purpose. Digital communities can provide CSOs with the ability to implement programmes online, raise awareness and run digital campaigns, increase reach and engagement. They also enable you to access the intelligence of many and utilise user-generated data and content for advocacy.

With more than 10 years cumulative experience across the Love Matters Global Network (LMGN), we are able to share our expertise and learnings in online sexuality education with other organisations and provide guidance and training on how to build successful digital communities using a variety of context-specific digital media channels (including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, SoundCloud). Over the years of 2019 – 2020, the Love Matters websites were visited more than 84 million times and 8.7 million social media followers around the world interact daily through likes, shares and comments.

We aim to highlight learnings and best practices on digital interventions and online sexuality education, bolstered by case studies that have been harvested from across the LMGN to ensure that others can learn from and with us, in order to design and build successful digital communities.
