Welcome to the RNW Media Trainer Network Onboarding!

About this training

With 50 years of experience in journalistic training, RNW Media is an expert in delivering accredited courses to media-makers around the world. We have trained participants from all over the world. We are skilled at training journalists and media makers in understanding key development issues and training them to tell these stories more powerfully through traditional channels (print, radio, and television) and digital channels (web content, tweets, blogs, and vlogs). In all the different contexts there is often a need for both.

RNW Media offers concrete steps for critically minded media-makers to turn their aspirations into realities and act as guardians of public interest. Our training empowers media-makers to develop successful creative content and media formats that facilitate dialogue and debate among young people and those in power. Market segments that were trained by RNW Media include: media outlets, non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, think tanks, universities, and governments.

We work at the intersection of tradition and digital media, civil society, and advocacy. As a result of our trainings, strategic partnerships, and global networks, we create an enabling environment for media landscapes to be pluralistic, independent, capable, and inclusive of citizens’ needs. Citizens access quality content and engage in discussion through media campaigns, to make important life decisions and hold decision-makers to account.
